Shipping & Returns
Yes, we offer free express shipping in the U.S. Orders typically arrive in 2-4 working days.
Returns and exchanges are self service and can be started here. We will send you a label to return your item/s via mail.
For exchanges, your replacement item is sent immediately when your return is verified as received at the post office.
For returns, you are refunded to your original payment method (or store credit if selected) after the product/s are received and inspected.
We offer free exchanges and free returns to store credit. Returns for refund have a $9 return shipping label fee.

Yes. We offer easy, flat rate DDP international shipping from Los Angeles, California. Prices are in local currency. There are never any additional customs/delivery fees to pay after checkout.
Refunds are issued back to the original payment method once your return is received and processed.
Depending on your payment method, some financial institutions can take up to 7 business days to clear a refund. Note that a refund confirmation email will be sent only after the refund has successfully been processed and cleared by our financial institution. Contact us for more help.

Yes, we sell gift cards here.
While we don’t gift wrap, all Uncle Purl® pieces are delivered and presented in a plastic-free zip bag inside a branded mailer box (the inside is our signature ‘Uncle Purl® orange’). Packing slips are included in all parcels without any prices listed and contain instructions/information for making an exchange or return.
We’re also more than happy to add a gift note to your parcel, just reply to your order confirmation email with the note you would like us to include.
Gift cards can be redeemed for online purchases by entering their code at checkout.
Store credit is automatically applied when you checkout with the same customer account that the credit was applied to (customer account is linked to your email).

Our Products
Uncle Purl® clothing fits true to size with a regular straight fit, not tight - not oversize. It is recommended to size down if you are between sizes. More detailed size guides are offered for each product and Uncle Purl® offers free exchanges on all orders to make sure you get the perfect fit.
Our models are typically around 6' tall and wear size Medium. Exact model height, size worn and fit notes are listed on each product page to help you choose the best size.
Uncle Purl® pieces are crafted from high-quality natural fibers. Fibers used are primarily linen, silk and fine cotton for Spring/Summer styles and premium woolen fibers including alpaca, cashmere and merino wool for Fall/Winter pieces. Each product page lists exact fabric composition and care instructions.
Some products are also knitted with rayon or other regenerated fibers to enhance garment longevity, prevent pilling and to better hold their shape.
Most Uncle Purl® styles are designed to be breathable and versatile rather than bulky. Summer polos and shirts are lightweight and airy, while sweaters in Fall/Winter provide warmth without excessive weight and allow for easy layering.
Most of our pieces are can be machine washed on a delicate cycle and air-dried flat. Do not tumble dry or hang dry.
Specific care instructions are listed on each product page and on the garment label.
When cared for properly our garments maintain their shape and size. Avoid tumble drying as this can cause shrinkage in natural fibers.
It's also best to keep your items stored folded (not hanging) to prevent stretching.
Our garments are responsibly produced in small batches with trusted yarn spinners and knitters in Europe and Asia. We knit exclusively on Japanese SHIMA SEIKI knitting machines. Design and brand operations are based in Los Angeles, California.
No, our knitwear is designed to be comfortably worn directly against the skin. We prioritize yarn selection, yarn blends, finishing and wash treatments to ensure softness and ease of wear on every product.
We have a large group of customers who shop Uncle Purl® for a special yet understated piece to wear to upcoming events, holidays and vacations. Our linen polos and shirts are popular with customers attending summer holiday events and heading out on vacation. Our warmer sweater pieces are popular with customers heading home for Thanksgiving and attending holiday events.
